Lice and nits

My ex called to tell me our daughter had lice. Okay, well, it sounded like the whole house did. Anyway, she was treated, and a week later treated again.

Two weeks later, I am still finding nits in her hair. I check morning and night, and pull a few each time.

There are no bugs that I have seen.

No one here has been infected, but tea tree based shampoo is always used. Lice hate that.

Anyway, after two weeks, why am I still finding nits? I have not ever dealt with lice before, but google said nits hatch between 7-10 days.

I really want them gone.

If you're still finding them this long after the treatment, they're probably dead. Most likely, they weren't all combed out properly after the treatments. The tiny little buggers can be really hard to get out. It took a while for me to get all my daughters out. Hours with a fine toothed comb. I never want to go through that again! Just keep at it, and you'll get them.
