losing lbs after baby

i have a 2 yr old a 1 year old and a 8 wk old baby. i was 130 prepregnancy and i quickly went right back down to 130 after the 3rd one......i have gained 4lbs back. (im not sure if it is due to surgery after the baby and having to be on bed rest or what) which may be nothing to some but on someone as short as i am it shows....i have bought a few vids that my kids and i could have fun with to work out and maybe a treadmill in the future....are there any other tips or advice i could get that could also involve my kids as well since the weather outside is too cold or wet?

I'm still trying to lose weight its been a struggle for me ever since I had my first child (18 years ago). I know I'll never get back to my pre-pregnancy weight (120).

Unfortunately even after 3 children I have had No luck losing the weight

presently I am almost 200.

So please don't worry too much about having an extra 4 pounds.

Can I just add, that 4 lbs after 3 little ones (one only 8 weeks!) is pretty amazing. I'll bet if you focus on your kids, the pounds will melt away again. Your body seems to like 130.

u can wrestle around with ur kids. theyll have fun and youll have fun plus youll burn some calories. u can work out using ur kids as weights. like if ur doing sit up do it holding one of ur kids. if ur walking around the house have them hold on to ur legs while u walk. cleaning also burns calories. ruen chores into a game. these r just a couple suggestions.

I am struggling with the same problem. I only have one child and she is 7 1/2 months old now. I gained about 40 lbs when I was pregnant with her but so far have only managed to loose half of it no matter what I do! Its freezing cold snowy,icy, rainy weather where I live and I definitly dont have the cash to join a gym or anything. Im curious to find out how other people did it.

i heard alot of moms tie their exerise by using their kids to exerise. like you can lift your child up by using your legs when you are laying on your back and your kids think you are playing with them. little things like that can help. but i weighed 160 before i had my first baby. and i was soo sick when i was first pregnant i lost 11 lbs then i gained back 15 from my first soo i was 149 when i was pregnant then gained 15 on top but after i gave birth i weighed 140 soo i lost alot of weight which i dont know how it happeend. it was really werid but i still try to work out by playing with my son using smaller muscles until i am able to get to a gym.

I would recommend getting your RMR calculated through a NewLeaf retailer. The test costs about $140 but it will tell you exactly how many calories you are buring. Having a baby significantly changes your metabolism, so if you are active and your not seeing any results you may want to have this test done. You can be eating a very healthy 1300 calorie diet, but if you're supposed to be eating 1200 calories, that's going to stagnate your weight loss regardless.

also I just take my son (course you have 3 so its way more difficult) to the mall and speed walk or take them to the play area but play with them and chase them around. or try like a YMCA. They have tons of stuff to do there, my cousin goes all the time and loves it so does her kids. i have that problem too its too cold or wet out lately to do anything outside or to go on our normal walks. (and Im in TX) we have been having crazy weather here.

Its absolutely about the right food, healthy food and the right portions of that food. and you are on the right track with exercise.I worked for 24hr fitness for a while. They taught me alot. there is a free 7day pass you can get just fyi. and they are really not that expensive and some have the free kids club.

but exercise and eating right. Good luck. I am still trying to lose mine too. Also drink a full glass of water before you eat your meal and cut out soda. and diet pills dont really work because they can mess with your heart and what you lose you will gain right back. hope this helps.

How did you get back down two 130 did you excercise? i was 130 as well, and now im 160 and its only my second and i had him 4 months ago..I would like to know as well. Good Luck.

Hi, I'm trying to lose weight after baby myself. I have to lose a lot after my first baby, but I'd suggest cutting the liquid calories if you drink pop, milk shakes, anything else that's high in calories. that's the easiest way to cut some calories. you don't have to eliminate your favorite beverages , but maybe just cut back? :) hope this helps. I drink a lot of water, tea, and allow myself a nonalcoholic beer.
