Making Lasting Memories/Starting Traditions--Help!

Hello Mommies!

I am the mother of a five year old princess and a three year old prince. I am looking for things to do with them to make memories (especially during the holidays and when the seasons change). I would also like to start some family traditions but I have no idea where to start. I really don't have any great memories from my childhood and my mom didn't pass down any traditions to my siblings and I. It is important for me to start some traditions now because my children are at the age where they are starting to remember things and I want the memories that they have about our family to be rich. Any suggestions???

Next Christmas we are going to start "elf on the shelf" if you don't know what it is google it because it is a super cute idea....on st patricks day this year we did "lucky the leprechaun" We died our toilet water green in our sons bathroom and made little green foot prints on the toilet seat, took old baby shoes and made little glitter foot prints all over the counter tops left chocolate "gold" coins laying out. My sister in law is going to drop off my sons easter basket at the front door and ring the door bell and run off so he can open the door to the fact that the easter bunny left him a basket full of all kinds of stuff

anyway a few ideas for you good luck :)
