Making new friends after baby

I am 21 years old, and I have a four month old son. I found out I was pregnant during my sophomore year of college, and since I announced my pregnancy, all of my friends disappeared. I have heard "they weren't really your friends if they didn't stick by you" and other things like that a million times from my husband, but it doesn't seem to make me feel any better. I really would love to meet someone around my age with similar interests and possibly with children, but I am feeling overwhelmed by the difficulty of what seems to be such a simple task. I have never had problems making friends before, but now I don't even know where to begin. How do y'all go about finding the right people to hang out with after baby?

Look into things like "baby & me" classes, or "music with baby"...These will bring you into a group of ladies of a similar age, with similar demands on their time. Then, as you attend, you'll begin to find the ones with your similar interests.

Best of luck, and congratulations on making it thru the first 4 months!
