Mom, in need of guidance.

Hello. I am totally new to this site. I've been looking for a Christian school to send my 5 year old to . Not just for pre k , but for the rest of her elementary education. I make $9.00 an hour; so, I definitely cannot afford private tuition. Right now she is in public school, in pre k ; her birthday was after the cut of date. I really want her to have a Christian education so she can learn about God and Jesus. Does anyone know what I can do. I know that with waiting lists and lottery picks it will be hard to get the scholarships, when they are available again. Thank you for any of your time and for listening. God bless you all.

Your best options are going to be scholarships, but I know chances for them are slim. Unfortunately, I really don't think you are going to be able to afford a private school tuition on $9/hour.

You could bring her to a church on Saturday or Sunday. Most Christian ones meet on Sunday, and many have "Sunday School" in addition to the regular service. You could also invest in a Bible Study curriculum for home. They are not terribly expensive and many of them incorporate academic topics as well.

Keep in mind that school is meant to be only a supplement to education. Most education, both academic and spiritual, should take place at home anyway.
