Moody kids

I am really worried my oldest daughter is going to be a big pessimist when she grows up. Both her father and I are somewhat and I'm worried she will be. How do I help her and combat her constant blues and moodiness?

unfortunately children learn the most through example....if you and your husband are pessimists the odds are good that she will mimic the behavior. if it is not something either of you wishes to pass on then you will both have to work harder at the behavior you wish her to possess. it may also be a good idea to make sure she has a lot of positive people in her life so that she can make a comparison for herself. good luck and God bless!

Maybe she is sad about something. Try talking to her about school and friends. Otherwise she may have depression (I do not know if it is something children can get....) if you have too much trouble with it, take her to her doctor and discuss it with them.
