Morning sickness help?

[deleted account] ( 7 moms have responded )

So i have been getting extremely nauseas in the mornings/afternoons, i dont throw up but i feel like junk.Im super exhausted. I am used to working out in the mornings but even attempting that seems like a bad idea so I wait now until evenings. I know i need to be eating but it makes me feel like im gonna just start puking everywhere. Is this something i just need to deal with or is there anything I can do to maybe make this not be as bad as it is?

Morning sickness is horrible. I had it until I was about 10 weeks pregnant, vomiting multiple times a day and unable to keep anything down. However, I got luck with No to morning sickness tea and crackers to subside my sickness.

Don't be too stressed out about what you are eating in the first trimester. Do your best and especially make sure you are not dehydrated. You may find you can eat best just before bedtime.

There are also medications for severe morning sickness. You could discuss it with your doctor.

I think most women feel better by 13 weeks, but it took 14 weeks for me both times.

I understand exactly how you feel. The only think that I could keep down was fresh pineapple. I ate it lunch and dinner and it took away the sick feeling and seemed to settle my stomach. Try eating digestive biscuits before you get out of bed. This absorbs moisture to stop you feeling floaty. By the end of your 16th week you should start to feel better.

Mostly you've just got to wait for it to be over, and do what makes you feel least bad in the meantime. I've always found that sniffing fresh-cut lemons or squeezing some lemon juice into water helps me the most. Fresh air helps a bit. Stay away from the kitchen as much as you can, and eat bland things or whatever pops into your mind that might taste good right that moment.

If you eat a few salt&vinegar chips before starting a meal, it might help you eat a little more before you feel nauseated. Good luck, I know it sucks. I'm in week 15 and SO happy to be done that part of pregnancy. I'm still down 5 lbs just from all the puking and not eating, but there's no harm done if you don't throw up more than twice a day. (except to your mental health)

Ginger. They have ginger drops you can suck on at health food stores. It helped me. Also they have preggy pops at Motherhood Maternity.
