gripe water worked great for my daughter. I found it at a natural food market, but I've heard others say you can get it at Walgreens. Also, you could try Nutramigen or Alimentum formula. They are the same thing, only one is made by similac and one by enfamil. They are both pretty expensive, but definately worth it if they work. They help reduce colic due to protein sensitivity. All 4 of my kids had to be on it to start with, and it looks like my youngest will be on it til she's at least a year old. If it is because of protein sensetivity and you try this formula, you will notice a difference almost immediately. My kids did better after just the first bottle!

I would go to the Docs and see if they can give anything. My daughter was put on mylanta and Xantec at 3 weeks for acid reflux and gas and she's a different baby since.
The dr did tell me though that it can take up to 8 weeks for them to sort their digestive system out. He suggested I stop giving her the medicine then and see how she went, and apart from a few episodes of gas she's been fine.
Chin up, the first 3 months are the hardest but they go quickly.

I found my baby sleeping on her tummy helps too Elizabeth. And I agree, allow your baby to adjust to the formula. You should be able to talk to a pharmacist about the formula too...they may have some suggestions.

Try Mylicon. It should help with the gas. Also after each feeding don't lay him/her down, sit them up for 1/2 an hour. She/he could have acid reflux too. Are they screaming and crying a lot? Spitting up a lot? Drawing their legs up? If so you may want to get them checked.

keep trying new formalus....also something you might have already tried , is when you are burping push the babies knees up into the stomach. This will help push the gas out. Also make sure you get several GOOD burps not little ones.
Hope find something that helps soon
