My 11 month old has a rash on his face...

This rash started 4 days ago. It gets really bad in the evening time where his cheeks are bright red and one of the days it was on his chin and above his lip. I have not brought him to the doctor because during the day it looks like it is getting better. He is teething a lot right now, could it be from the teething? Also people have mentioned to me fifths disease. I was just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on what it could be. It doesnt seem to bother him at all.

have you introduced any new foods? is his rash maybe due to the harsh cold wind on his cheeks? have you used any new laundry detergents/soap/lotion?

depending on how sensitive his skin is it could. if you keep his skin hydrated it should help it go away. but make sure that any moisturizer you use has no alcohol and fragrance free.... even some baby lotions are not really good for their skin... i've even just used vaseline on my kids skin because they were needing moisture... just use a little bit

I started putting some fabric softener in with his laundry, but that was about a month ago. I havent noticed anything until now. He was outside with us for a while on Sunday and it was chilly. Everyday this week the only time he is outside is when my husband goes to work and then I pick him up when I get out. Maybe 20 min a day. No new foods have been introduced. I never thought of the cold giving him a rash on his cheeks. Would it really take days to go away though? Thank you for your input!
