My 11 YO son is so moody!

My 11 YO son has become very self-centered and moody throughout this year. He slams the door, talks back at me, bothers his 14 YO sister and his 8 YO brother, and gets upset very easily. Nowadays, he seems to be more focused on friends and interests than his parents. I have talked to him about puberty, how his hormones and body is changing too. I have gone through this same thing with my autistic teenage daughter when she was his age (she is, however, still moody sometimes but not as much anymore). Any ideas?

It is tough to enter (pre)teen world. It is time when they want to show their individuation, want to be independent yet not know how to do that in a proper way.
Also they experience physical changes, hormonal changes, peer pressure and emotional unstable. Have you tried to take a quality time with him and listen to his story about what happens with/around friends or school? Please check this link Hope it is helpful. Hang in there, mom. Hugs for you
