My son has been hitting other babies in children's church and daycare. He has been removed form children's church 3 times and I have been called at work about him hitting kids at daycare. I am not sure how to stop this behavior b/c at home he is an only child. Any advice?

I had this problem before but I think my daughter was around 2 not 16 months. I guess one of the best things to do is when he starts hitting would be to hold his arms and say no firmly. And if it continues then time-out. It's a phase that he most likely will grow out of. This probably didn't help but I know my daughter grew out of it. Not sure how else I would be able to stop that either other than that.

Evelyn, they are putting him in time-out (daycare) and separating him from the other kids until I come get him (children's church).

Have you asked them what they do about it? Because honestly, they need to be redirecting the child or something. Its not like you can talk to him about what he does and why.
