My 19mo grandson just diagnosed with pvl seems to cry so much....

Rhett was born 10 days late and seemed to be growing and progressing normally until at 17mo my daughter was concerned about his not walking or talking and they did MRI and found that he has pvl. He is seeing a neurologist and already several therapists to help him learn to walk. Just in the last few weeks he seems almost inconsolable crying a lot, except when he is eating or sleeping or in the tub. He loves the water. When he was little he laughed and smiled a lot. That seems to be all gone and my daughter and son in law are really struggling to try to find ways to keep him from crying a lot almost all the time. The therapists are really impressed with his progression and he works hard at his therapy even when he isn't real happy. My question is there anyone who can give us an idea of thing we could do for him. I know every case is different....what supplements or diets can we try? Perhaps someone has had a child like this. I feel he will grow past this but I don't have to live with him every day. He will be able to communicate eventually and won't always be unhappy. I welcome any ideas and help I can share with my daughter for my precious grand baby boy.
