My 2 year old isn't falling asleep by herself anymore! What to do?

My 2 year old is not falling asleep by herself, this has been going on for the past month and a half now. She used to fall asleep all by herself, then all of a sudden she wouldn't fall asleep unless I pat her butt gently soothing her to go to sleep. And every night it seems to get longer and longer until she falls asleep. I don't know what to do. She hasn't taken a nap in months cause she doesn't seem to need one and she runs off her energy during the day. She seems tired but she just doesn't want to fall asleep. Also Some nights she'll wake up at 3 am and not go back to bed until 6am. I brought her to bed a couple times but I didn't want to do it anymore to start a bad habit. I just don't know what to do!!! Any suggestions. And she is on a schedule during the day too.

I would just leave her in her bed and stop patting her to sleep. Just give her a cuddle say it's bedtime and walk out. If she was able to do it before then she's probably still able to do it now. Just let her cry it out if she starts crying, if she's in a toddler bed or something just bring her back into bed again and tell her it's bedtime. Night! You just have to be consistant and not give her attention for getting up.
