i took my daughter to her pediatrician this morning because shes been in so much pain complaining that it hurts her when she pees, well then she started to hold her pee in fearing that it was hurting her so much when she would urinate, so he really didnt tell me much all he did was perscribe her an antibiotic for it, and 1 tsp ever 12 hours. Has anyone else had this problem? it saddens me to see her waking up in the middle of the night screaming that it hurts her. :( please help.

Well, definitely give her the antibiotics. I know that soaps in the tub can cause UTI's, you may want to ask him for suggestions of what to use that will not irritate or cause more. Can you give her motrin for the pain? I hope she is feeling better soon. The longer she holds her pee, the more damage she can cause....but that can be difficult to explain to a 3 year old. Good luck!
