Is there a reason he is doing it?Can he talk? What does he say when he comes into your room?

I bribed my daughter with stickers. :) If she stayed in her own bed all night, she got a surprise in the morning. It only took about a week or so to break her of the habit.

If you don't want this to become a habit then all you can do is put him straight back into his own bed every time he appears in your room. It is tiring for you, but it is the only way to teach him to stay in his own room..

I have an almost 3 year old and for several months he was getting up for the day at 4am. I tried a few different things but what worked was a sun/moon nightlight. We bought this nightlight that turns into a moon at bedtime and a sun when it's time to get up. With some practice, it's worked wonders and he's back to sleeping to a regular time. Other people might suggest things like putting a child lock on his door so he can't open it and therefore, letting him cry it out. Many people also suggested to me to get rid of his daytime nap.

Good luck.
