My 7 month old LOVES vegetables and cereal, but really HATES fruit. Does anyone have creative ideas to get a baby to eat, then eventually like to eat her fruits?!

Try buying the baby cereals that have fruit in them or mixing fruit into the cereals.  My daughter was the exact same until a week ago.  I read somewhere that if your baby rejects food ealy on, at 8-9 months is a good time to re-introduce them so I did.  She now loves bananas, and today, we are going to try peaches.  Be patient.  I am sure your baby will start to like them eventually.  Keep trying different foods if your baby still rejects one of them.

Thats so funny my daughter doesnt eat fruit either.  I thought she was like the only baby in AMerica that was like that! I have tried mixing them with cereal and she wont eat it.  If she does eat it mixed she spits up soon after.

Try mixing the two together. And over the course of the week slowly take the veggie out until you are left with just the fruit. Also keeping the cereal involved is a good idea.

i always gave pureed fruit as a first weaning food but failing that i give fresh fruit mixed with fromage frais for pud... im lucky my baby eats anything and everything, try making it a habit, i.e fruit after milk mid afternoon. or after every meal, een if you try making smaller portions for dinner so baby  is still a little hungry, more likely to take it - or even use it as a first course if theyre really hungry.... good luck

Also, I've read that sometimes babies need to try a food something like 15 times before they like it.  So keep exposing her to fruit and she'll come around.

Try mixing them with a little formula or breastmilk.  Make your own fruit purees, they taste better than stored bought baby food.  Maybe she will be more interested in fruit when she starts feeding herself.  Don't worry too much about it. Chances are she's still getting all the nutrients she needs.  If you stay relaxed about food, so will she.  Good luck!

*try puree fruits like apple (goes well with most vegies) in some pureed vegies...

for eg...apples with pumpkin, sweet potatos and corn...

or apples with peas, broccoli, and spinach..

I can see u cringing but really its rather  tasty...in australia "raffety's" baby foods do this if u want to just buy already made baby foods

*add pureed fruits to her cereal or mashed banana...buy some natural yoghurt for babys and add pureed fruits

*give her a lil bit of banana to hold and eat on her own...poach some apples or pears until its really soft and cut into very small pieces and see if she'll feed herself..if u allow them to self feed they might at least eat a little..

did you try mixing them? My son is almost 8 months old and hated his vegetables and meats plain, so I mix them together and he loves it!  Try mixing in a little bit of fruit, hope is works for ya!

Use food chaining adding just alittle bit each time on her plate and be consistent let her get used to the fact that it will be there. Or let her scoop alittle on her plate (independence). Try not to make a big deal out it because that can make them react negativel about the situation. Just keep trying and eventually she'll try it. Fresh fruits will be better than baby food fruits.

Try mixing what she doesn't like with what she does...that's what I do when my son doesn't like something. Babies don't know the difference if fruit is mixed with vegetables, it's all new to them!

Good luck!

She might like it if you give her a cold banana... especially since they are teething around that age, it might feel good on her gums, and she'll get used to the flavor... just watch her very closely (choke hazzards)....

My 8 month is not a big fan of green beans. What I do to get him to eat it is give him a bite of something he likes and sneak in bites of the green beans when he's expecting the fruit or cereal.
