He probably has a minor cold or something pick up some tissues and maybe one of those bogey grapplers for babies from your local Chemist.If he gets more symptoms of the flu ie is more grump than usual has a cough won't sleep as much is chesty etc pick up the appropriately aged medication from a pharmacy for him.
Good luck hope he feels better soon.
