My baby won't sleep without her pacifier. How do I get her to stop being so attached?

My daughter is 4 months old and she is so attached to her pacifier now that if it falls out of her mouth at night she will cry. This has brought her to me and my husband's bed because I have been too tired to keep getting up to put the pacifier back in her mouth. How do I get her to stop being so attached WITHOUT letting her cry it out and feel like a bad mom?

Yes, I remember this problem all too well. Our oldest daughter had a pacifier..and I was fed up with when we had our 2nd daughter we didn't do the whole pacifier thing..she likes her thumb unfortunately. The only way to get rid of the pacifier in my eyes is ..cold turkey. It may be of some help for you to know that she will learn how 2 put it back in by herself soon.

It's only a concern because she doesn't sleep in her own bed very long if I'm not there to put it right back in and me and my husband don't really want to keep sharing our bed lol. It's become such a bad habit.

And yeah, she does grab the pacifier to take it out, but too young to put it back in yet ;) Can't wait till she does!

When it falls out you're going to have to keep going in and putting it back. But what you can do while doing this is grab her hand and move it to where the paci is. She's probably too young to grab it but at least this will start the process of her learning to grab it and put it back in herself. Eventually she'll get it.

She's only 4 months old so why the concern? I'm guessing she finds comfort in using it. Our son was the same way. I too had to get up every night when his fell just comes with the territory! One thing to keep in mind won't always be this way...they grow up fast! Not sure what you can do besides getting up and giving it back to her. Soon enough she'll be able to get it herself when it falls out. Good luck!
