My child refuses breast milk from the bottle but drinks goat milk. Does anybody have the same issues?

My son is now 9 months old. Up to 7.5 months he had only an expressed breast milk, no formula. When my milk supply started to go down, I tried different types of formula for him to try but none worked. So my mom recommended me to give him goat milk (my doctor approved it). It worked great, looked liked he even did not notice the difference at first. However, now when he turned 9 months, for few days he completely refused to drink my expressed breast milk but drank goat milk. I tried to give him mine at first, not taking, gave him goat, took. I am not sure what is the reason, my diet or lifestyle has not changed. The only thing, is that he had a fever for 3 days and now has a rash. The doctot said, it's pretty common in infants, and it's just a roseola that will go away in few days. But what is the problem with my milk? Does anybody have the same problem? I am a working mom, an it's very challenging to pump anyways, but when you child refuses to drink it is even makes it worse. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks

Have you tried mixing your milk with the goats milk? He might take the bottle if it's half and half.

Thank you Vanessa for your support. It seems that he started to drink after I mixes it together. My doctor said, the goat milk is OK to give, but it does not have all the nutrients as the babies need in this age. I started again to mix some formula ( Similac Alimentum) & goat milk in his cereals and it looks like it kind of works. I want my baby to be healthy and get all the nutrients, but at the same time I do not want to make him eat something that he does not like and create this negativity to food.

Totally don't worry. Who knows why? I have read in several different texts that some children will try to self ween, for whatever reason. And my son did every 3 months till I stopped nursing at 14 mo.! My daughter however, had a very hard time weening. Don't take it personally. Just like we're all different people, we all like different things. If you really prefer that he drink your milk, then just keep trying. But, don't take it personally. You've done good, Mama. And I should think that his pediatrician would be looking for signs of allergies with the introduction of goats milk.
