Hi Tamika, I know exactly what you are going through - my little man is the worst teether! He always gets a cold when he is teething, is constantly grumpy and crying at the littlest things and wakes up screaming throughout the night as the tooth is breaking through. I have found that during the day giving rusks or milk arrowroot biscuits can sometimes help the tooth break through (however sometimes he is in too much pain to eat them), the wet face cloth is a great idea, carrots or apple to chew on (only if older than 1 though and if your little one can chew hard items), I found a fennel based oil from the naturopath works well rubbed onto his gums (or marshmallow root is ideal for them to chew on) but unfortunately I have resigned myself to a few awful days whilst he is teething so just a lot of comfort and cuddles. During the night though I have to sleep on a mattress beside his cot as he wakes screaming and is then scared because of the pain - with me beside him he falls back to sleep a lot quicker (as do I). It usually only lasts a max of 5 days and doesn't impact on his ability to fall asleep on his own once he has finished teething.
Good luck though I know it can be a terrible time!

Oh I almost forgot! Our son also loves homemade fruit popsicles as well. Not only are they a relief but healthy too!

Our son loves anything cold when he's teething....frozen fruit, frozen washcloths, cold carrots, ice cubes to name a few. When he gets really uncomfortable I give him Tylenol or Ibuprofen. All natural teething tablets work well for our son too. Good luck and hang in there :)

ok this is really unorthadox but you can dip your finger in some rum or whiskey DONT POOR IT OF COURSE and just shake your finger off and rub it on their gums. that is a very old remedy my geat grandmother used to use, works like a hot damn and they will NOT get drunk from it if use that one at night, also a frozen eggo can help during the day.

Wet clean face washers, put them in a zip lock bag & pop them in the freezer. When they are frozen give them to her to suck on. Works a treat for littlies.
Or if she's a bit older make some ice lollies out of whatever juice she likes & give her one to suck on.
