If her doctors said she has allergies, you may need to take her to a specialist to determine if medication is necessary. Most of the time for allergies, you just need to keep some tissues on hand.

If your asking what should you do, you should march right up to that doctor and ask why the HECK he is prescribing antibiotics for a virus. Antibiotics are useless against viral infections, so your child has been taking antibiotics unnecessarily. This commonly leads to decreased immune efficiency if you continue to do this long term. Antibiotics are ONLY effective if the infection is bacterial.

Depending on how long ago she was given an antibiotic she may still have some symptoms of the infection she had. Both my children have bad allergies and they sniffle all the time. As long as the mucus coming from her nose isn't green or a funky yellow color you shouldn't worry, let the antibiotics run their course. If you are really concerned and it's been past seven days you should probably contact your pediatrician and have her checked out again.
