Great news! You have a very smart kid! Bad news - she may take LONGER. I was told smart kids sometimes take longer to potty train. Just let her go at her own pace. You may have times where you think she's gonna do it and then she doesn't. Mine went through that. It took us until 4 1/2 to get her fully trained.

You might try investing in some cotton training pants. We got a couple pairs of ImseVimse - not cheap to begin with, but they were really good and held most accidents. They are cheaper in the long run though than all the disposables and I found clean up really wasn't that bad.

She's not ready...that's my first thought. It's great that she's telling you when she has to go, but other than encouraging her to sit on the potty, you can't do much else until she's ready. She's not quite 2 yet, so give it a couple more months and you might see a significant change in that time. Sometimes it's a matter of overnight. Just be patient, she will get there :)
