My eighteen year old moved out of the house five months before graduation. What do I do help her understand the mistake she is making?

My eighteen year old daughter has moved out of the house because we had a fight over her grades and being so irresponsible. She graduates in only 5 months but now Im not even sure she will continue school. She has been so boy crazy over the past year and all of her friends that I have met seem to be really rough cut and with no plans for their future......I dont know what to do !

well I don't know what your 18 yo daughter is like, but when i was 19 i was married and pregnant and already working for 2 years. perhaps she will be fine. you just have to hope that you raised her right and always remind her that if things don't work out she still has a spot in your home. and you can always help her at least get her high school diploma

I can imagine that as a parent of a child of 18 yrs , you want to do what you can for her and show her the mistakes she is making.

However can't.

I remember being 18 yrs old , i didn't want to listen to anyone ...i thought i was always right and that i knew what i was doing.

I did finish high school , but chose not too go to college ...boy that was a wrong choice for me, but i didn't know it at the time ...but we all learn from our mistakes.

You have raised her for 18 yrs's time to let her just make her own mistakes and have to live with them ..she will grow up and learn what she has done , and it is up to her to fix her mistakes.

Just sit back her ..and just be there for her when she needs you to be.
