my ex just got out of prison and his daughter doesn't know him. Should I let him see her? She has a dad in her life that she only knows as dad. I don't trust him.

He wants to see her(she is 5 and doesn't know him) and there is no legal rights involved. I know what I want and that is four him to sign off rights. Is that wrong? She has a dad (not biological) that has there for her for 3 years. Is out of prison now and I need help.

Agreed on those points. She has a right to know her father. He has a right to know her. And if he is expressing a wish to see her, then he should be able to. Get legal advice. You should have gotten custody, visitation and child support set up a long time ago.

Like the other ladies have said, you can't keep her away from her Father. You need to go to court and get visitation and support sorted out. If he is willing to give up his rights then it's up to him, not you.
You chose to have a child with him and he has every right to know his child.

Tell him to take you to court more likely he will get supervised visitation with her pending on what he was in prison for.

If you don't have any court orders specifying you have sole custody and he has no visitation rights, then actually, there are legal rights involved and he could take you to court for them.

I would advise you to talk to a lawyer about the situation because if he DOES take you to court and can prove you are refusing to allow him to see his daughter, it could look poorly for you, so get the legal advice you need on this one.
