My newborn will never let me put him down without crying, what can I do??

I have a 9 week old (he was a preemie at 6 weeks early) and the past 2 weeks he will not let me put him down, EVER! Even when I rock him to sleep and think he's dead asleep, I lay him down and no more than 5 mins later he is crying to be picked back up! My husband is blaming me telling me I'm spoiling him by holding him 24/7 but I refuse to let him lay there and cry! :( HELP!

Wear a baby sling or put him to sleep on the boppy pillow. My daughter enjoyed that as a newborn and she wanted to be held.

First off you cannot spoil a newborn baby. Your husband needs to educate himself! It may be that he is growing, has a little gas or just likes to be close to you. He did grow inside of you for 9 months. Our son was the same way. I found that putting him in his swing for napping helped a lot. I think he really enjoyed the constant rocking back and forth motion. When I didn't use the swing I would lay him on th ecouch next to where I was sitting. I think him know I was right by him was comforting. Just know that this is a phase and he will outgrow it.
