I just lost my husband of 28 years. I know this is hard on my son. But I am tired of supporting him he lives with me I want to move on with my life. I feel bad but he needs to move out and fend for himself.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss, and you definitely deserve to be able to move on with your life.

At 28, he should have moved out and learned to fend for himself a LONG time ago. Sorry, but as far as I'm concerned, once my kids are over 18, they either need to be studying or working. They are adults and it is time for them to take responsibility for themselves in some way. So far, that has worked. Unfortunately, your son has continued to be enabled in his endeavour to remain a child. Time for him to grow up. You shouldn't feel bad about asking him to leave and fend for himself. You should feel bad that you didn't do it sooner because you really haven't done him any favours.
