My son is refusing to sleep I can't understand it he's been fed burped cuddled played with him gripe water given his dummy I even stayed with him for a while. He was happy with me carrying him around and patting him now he's crying it out because I put him back in the cot. he's even got a clean nappy what should I do?

Thanks Mandy, I gave in and am doing that right now seems to be working I'm just worried if he doesn't sleep much that it might affect his development it's not nice to see him tired all the time because he isn't well rested

Teething is constant (at least it is with my daughter), try a cool cloth for him to suck on.

Sometimes babies get separation anxiety, mine had it when she was little. Basically if I left her sight, I no longer existed to her. She out grew it, but you can try singing to him, reading a book to him, maybe he has a fever or isn't feeling well, maybe he's too hot, too cold, give him a bath and try your routine again.

he is possibly going through seperation anxiety and doesnt want to leave you. maybe sit with him while he goes to sleep? thats what i do, and did, with my children to make seperation anxiety easier.
