my daughter has three missing reports in one of her class. She has a chance to do them and turn them in. so should i make her do them this weekend and take this out of town trip from her that is planned for the weekend or should i give her the days before we leave for the weekend to turn the work in. Not sure which to do

See if she can get them done before the weekend. If so... great. If not... either cancel the weekend or if it's a family trip that other kids would suffer by being cancelled... she can bring the work and do it over the weekend and miss out on the fun.

What Dove said. Alternatively, if there's a trusted adult to baby sit her at home whilst you and the rest of the family take the trip.
