So a few months ago my soon to be 3 year old had a bad nappy rash(now potty trained) so she started to discover her bum and now basically from then has rubbed her bum on anything she can, I've read it's normal etc but I can't help worrying about it and it's upsetting me

Redirect. When she is doing something that you want her to stop doing, redirect her to something else. You've not had to do this in the last 3 years? Its like teaching them not to pick their nose, or scratch their penis, or any other 'socially unacceptable' behaviour, you redirect them until they get the point.

so redirect her. That's the easiest method at this age.
