Need Advice on an acting-out/ angry 9 year old.

Before I even begin with my situation, please NO JUDGEMENT OR RUDE COMMENTS, I have had to deal with enough already. I have 2 boys ages 9 and 5, and their father was sent to prison in Jan 2012. My five year old really hasn't had any issues from it (as their father was always in and out of the house anyways and never really had much to do with them), but my nine year old son is very upset and angry with his father still. He is obviously upset because he hasn't been able to see him in a long time and is angry that he did something that caused him to leave his family. Their father and I were married for 10 years, but I have divorced him since this has happened. We are not sure when he will be getting out of prison but it seems like it is going to be a few more years. I really don't want to take my kids to visit him simply because I do not feel it is a good environment for children to be in or see. I am just not sure what to do and it seems he is getting more and more angry (back-talking, fighting with brother, etc.). Any suggestions??

Suggest you get him involved in an extracurricular activity where he can meet some positive male role models. Another suggestion is to consider therapy for him. Maybe it's something all of u can benefit from. Sounds like u have a lot on your plate. Good luck!
