My son is will turn 6 months in a couple of days and i am supposed to join back work in a weeks time (on Feb 10th). The problem is that Monu has always been breastfeed and refuses to take a bottle (trying for about 2 months now with a variety of nipples, feeding positions, tried to have my husband and his mother feed Monu, etc. with absolutely no avail). He does take some rice cereal (about 1 odd teaspoon mixed with breastmilk) but at this stage but doesn't like any other solids and actually more comes out than goes in his mouth. I am planning to work the first month on a half day basis. Monu feeds approximately at every 2 hours, but working half a day mean that he would spend about 6 hours without getting any breastfeed. His granny is trying to feed him once in between with rice cereal but i am very worried that it would not be enough and I am starving my baby. Please help, I can do with all the advice I can get.

You may need to pump and feed by bottle only for a little while. He will not starve himself and he will eventually take the bottle. However, you want him comfortable with it and not torture whomever, needs to watch him by trying to get him used to the bottle then. Once he is comfortable with the bottle you can bottle and resume breastfeeding as well.
