need shared parenting advice

my sons father filed for shared parenting. However I do not agree with him having shared parenting for the following reasons: unsafe and unsanitary living conditions, my child has been hurt several times in his care including a broken arm, inadequate sleeping arrangements for him amongst a list of other things. We are not married and never lived together. We both live in two separate residences. He lives with his parents in their attic with about 5 other people which include his girlfriend her 4 children and his other son. My son has very bad eczema condition and everytime he comes back home its worse. I suggested that he cleaned and sanitized the attic to prevent future flare-ups or break-outs and he refused. Based on these conditions what is the chance that shared parenting will be granted?

No one can predict what a judge will decide. He has has much right to parent as you do, but I agree he needs to have a safe, clean place to parent. Bring as much objective evidence as you can to the hearing, pictures, medical records. You can ask to have a CASA worker or guardian ad litem appointed. Then a home inspection can be performed and a an opinion offered by an outside party.
