We recently got us a puppy who is six weeks old, we live in a double, and our neighbor who lives in the next house over lets his 7-8 yr old son and his dog a bull mastiff walk into our home along with a few others on our block and he likes to look in our windows..i dont think its right that i cant have my puppy in the back yard without him bringing his dog into my yard when he has his own... and i dont think its right that we have to keep our curtains closed and doors locked to keep our privacy...what should i do about this his father has been informed by many neighbors and we all clean up after our pets except him and the dad wont do anything about it...

So report him. How is your neighbor 'letting' his kid walk into YOUR home? Are you not in control of who enters YOUR home? That's what locks are for. And, yes, in order to secure your privacy, it is recommended that you use the locks.
Next time the kid shows up and lets himself in, call the cops. Have them come return him to his father and reinforce the idea of parenting.
