so i had nipple thrush and my baby had oral thrush we just ended up having it for almost two months we tried gentian violet....didnt work...nystatin.....didnt work.....vinegar....then garlic...yogurt....nothing was was getting very stressful. then finally what actually worked was a combination of peroxide/bactrim spray and nystatin. first after every feeding rinse breast with peroxide then apply the nastatin ointment(not the liquid..the ointment) then spray with the bactrim. Also after each feeding dip the tip of a q-tip into some peroxide and rub in the babies mouth. worked like a dream. if only i had known about this solution earlier.

I'm kind of confused as to why you thought my comment was funny? I guess I just assumed that you didn't know that peroxide is a mouth rinse. And I don't understand your comment about babies not knowing that. Of course they don't. It's not like her mom is giving her a bottle of peroxide to drink. She just dipped a q-tip in it and rubbed it in her mouth.

Ummm.....I would not be rubbing peroxide in anyones mouth. It induces vomiting, and should not be taken orally. I would prefer the antibiotics to that for sure.
