My son is 14 months old and used to be a great sleeper. I could put him down for a nap or for the night fully awake and he would just go to sleep on his own and sleep through the night. Now, he screams when he is put down and wakes up at least once if not more during the night. HELP!!!!!

Anything in his room change or suddenly appear around the time he started this? Maybe a mobile or something hanging on the walls near his crib that is new and not 'of his liking'. As small as they are they have likes and dislikes too. I am thinking of my god daughter who is now 25. She has a clown phobia, always has (made for interesting trips to the circus .... and parades till we found out). Hanging above her crib as a tiny infant were two ceramic faced clowns on a trapeze pulled back as if preparing to launch. Seemed innocent enough at the time.

Just a thought. Good luck.

i had the same prob... ask your health nurse for help. mine gave me a booklet on controlled comforting, and as long as you dont mind a little bit of tough love ( and a little crying) it works a treat. the book suggested it would take up to a week but within 2 days my son was back to normal i just wish i had of thought to call her sooner.. i even cancelled the sleep schol appointment i had because it worked so good. apparently its the same method they use. if you dont agree with controlled comforting im sure she will have another idea. GOOD LUCK!!!!
