Hi! I am having some trouble with breastfeeding and are starting to pull my hear out!
My little angel in now 15 ½ weeks old! She latch on properly, but is a sleepy baby ! She drinks well I just keep wakening her up! She drinks 2 x 5 min each side! She drink at 8:00, 12:00, 16:00 and 19:00 every day, then goes to bed at 20:00 for the night! Apart form the 19:00 meal I need to wake her up for the rest of the times! For the past two week I have been having problems with my 19:00 feed as there is just not enough milk, I need to defreeze breast milk so she that she has enough! And for the last two day it is been happening with all the meals! She will eat 5min each side no problem but the other 5 min is the problem she will eat 1 tot 4 min and start to complain that my breast is empty! And if I do like if I am expressing milk there is only coming out a drop or two!

I am drinking 2 litre of liquids a day ( milk, water or juice) plus 3 cups of coffee in the morning to get me started! Eat three meals a day, I just try to stay away for sweets and chips!

Do you have any idea as I would like to feed my little till at least 1 year old!

For my first one, I had n issue of milk production and was producing sufficient, but during the second baby, my supply dropped all of a sudden due to medication after c-section. I started drinking healthy nursing tea after advice of LC and got my supply boosted enough to satisfy my LO.

She keep sucks my nipple and spit it out and then cry's! If I give her 'n bottle with a 100ml she will finish it! I will try the hours thing and see if it works! Thx

How do you know she's not getting enough from the times she is feeding? Is she losing weight or not having wet or dirty nappies? Some babies do feed very quickly.

Make sure she empties each breast fully before putting her on the other side, as the hindmilk is more filling than the foremilk.

Also to increase your supply you could try feeding more often, say every 3 hours rather than 4.

All the best.
