When my daughter was this age, she struggled to sleep on her own (maybe she was a little younger, but not much). She has a very active imagination, and it often turned into nightmares or very active dreams.

I threw an old cot mattress on the floor beside my bed when she was about 5. I added a pillow and blanket (she made a bit of a nest of it). When she woke at night, she just crept into our room and laid on her "nest". She felt safe because she was beside me. If she really needed me, she would wake me briefly and hold hands until she fell back asleep (often I was asleep before she was).

I don't know if this would be practical for you, but it worked for us.

She feel comfortable sleeping with you. My son always sleep with me because he feel safe. Knowing I am there. However I understand she should sleep in her own room, maybe sleep in her room until she falls asleep.
