Hi. I am new to this but really want someone to help me.
Have a 8 month old... Who has been a fussy eater since he was born.
Now on solid and was eating well until few days ago. He is having 3 teeth come in at the same time??? Could that cause him to eat less. He hates the bottle and its so had me to get anything in him now a day. What should I do???

I took a wet washcloth and set it in the freezer for a few minutes and let my daughter chew on it. It helped her a lot

If its teeth, try teething tablets. You can get them at walmart, and they are all natural. Baby Orajel will not only slow down the teeth cutting but can also cause his throat to go numb. Teething cookies are a good idea also But If your LO is anything like my child, he'll want them all the time!!!

try rubbing some baby oral on his gums and then the teething cookie after the gums are numb to help push them throw.

I think it is because of the teeth , O know this because I am a dentist so when teeth are coming in it bothers the baby.Just try new things Manley your baby is just like that. You will find something don't worry. :D

There are things you can pick up from a pharmacy to rub on his gums, this will num for alittle while

I believe the teeth would have him that way, I have a 7 month old and when his gums are irritating him he don't even want the bottle, only breast milk.
the breast is soft on his gums and gives him comfort, but that is if you breastfeed.

Yaa I will definitely try that.
He is not having 3 but 4th teeth started popping out today. So now he is refusing anything near his mouth.
I am ending up syringe feeding him and even that he fights so much. So I don't know how long this behavior is going to last.
But milk shake idea is good. Ill try it out. Thx

Yes teething certainly diminishes appetite. Their whole little baby mouths hurt. You can try some Motrin to relieve the pain (ask your ped for the dose) and hopefully that helps. They can get very cranky while teething, and turn into terrible sleepers until the teeth cut.
I would not introduce juice yet if you can avoid it. His main source of nutrition should still be breast milk or formula.

Try getting him something for the teething pain like infant pain reliever. Talk to his doctor about his eating habits and what is going on. Just keep trying to feed him have him chew on a teething cookie or cracker. But most importantly keep calm and be patient with him.

Maybe he would drink a 'milkshake'.... You could blend his formula w/ a banana or some frozen berries... Worth a shot. ;)

Have you tried puréeing fruit and freezing it like a popsicle or freeze. It can get messy but the cold may make his mouth feel better. You can add yogurt, banana, berries all sorts of things. It might help.

You say he likes water from a sippy cup... What about his formula from a sippy cup? Or is he breastfed? He doesn't NEED solids at this point, so as long as you can find a way that he will accept his breast milk or formula.... he'll be totally fine through this stage.
