My tip would be to wait......let them tell you what they are ready for and when. If you are pushing them and trying to rush it it will only back fire. You will be stuck with two kids that take FOREVER to potty train because you pushed toooooo hard when they were not ready. At 1 yrs old they don't have the control muscles yet, so you would just be training you not the child. The 1 yr old is copying what he is seeing the 2 yr old do. That is GREAT, BUT that does not mean he is ready!!! Potty training is like walking....you can't force it. Let it be your child's accomplishment. Encourage, but then let them guide the process. That is a MUCH less stressful way and it will also be a faster way. The more you push the more they resist.
