Potty Training my almost 3 year old boy.

I started potty training my almost 3 year old son last week. He likes to sit on his little potty and does pee each time. We have him wearing training underwear with waterproof pants over them during the day and pull ups at night. The problem is that he still pees in the underwear even after peeing in the potty and doesn't tell me. He also doesn't tell me when he poops and he won't poop in the potty. I take him to the potty every 30 to 45 minutes. I'm just tired of washing underwear and after 6 days of this I'm ready to give up and go to pull ups all the time. I just need some advice and reassurance that maybe he isn't ready? Would it be so bad to go to pull ups for a while and try the underwear again later? Also, he only likes the little potty and shows no interest in using the big potty yet and he hasn't told me once that he needs to go.

it happens, but the ting you have to remember is to be consistant. using pullups during the day i have found to be very confusing for my children. stick with the underwear. washing all the laundry is hard, but it has to be done. 6 days isn't really enough time to decipher whether he's ready or not. i'd give it a few more weeks and if there's no improvement, try again in a month or so.
as for the little potty, my children all have had an aversion to the big potty at first. i kept on trying once they got a hold of the potty training idea first off, and they finally took to it. it just takes time, it's not an immediate thing for some kids.
my oldest took to everything great, my last two took a little bit longer, but they are doing great! just hang in there!
