How long have you been trying for? For most couples it can take 6 mos to 1 year to conceive. Going to the doctor and getting a clean health check is not a bad idea, and discuss fertility testing to see if it is needed or recommended at this time. It is not your fault. You can not control this. I know this is easier said than done, but relax. Do whatever you need to do to, walks, meditate, romantic dinners etc. The more you "try" and stress yourself out, the harder it will be. Best of luck love! I wish you lot both the best in this journey.

Statistically, you have less than a 40% chance of conceiving (and by the time you are 45, that reduces to 5%). These statistics are not hidden (and in fact, are only average - you could be on either end of that spectrum at 42), it's just what happens when you get older. Have you ever had a check up around your fertility? You can get tests done to check yours, and then, if it's not great, you can consider other alternatives, such as fertility treatments or IVF. But the fact is, you do need to accept that your fertility is in decline and you may need intervention.
