pregnant at 48

New to this I just found out I am pregnant at 48, hadn't been trying (or trying to prevent) and am needless to say very surprised to be pregnant at this age. In looking online, I see very little info on anyone who has conceived naturally and delivered at there anyone out there who has, or knows realistically what the chances are? It seems as if I will very likely miscarry as there are so few others out there in my shoes. Seeing the doctor next week to see where everything stands but kind of anxious to get some bloodwork done before then. Any words of wisdom would be much appreciated as the only advise I have gotten so far is to go play the lotto!

I have a friend who has seven children and her last was conceived at 45. She had a healthy all natural pregnancy and delivered with a midwife at home. Age alone is not a deciding factor that you will have problems.
