Short naps at 7 months old?

Sorry if this long! I need help!!!! Does/Did anyone's 7 month old take really short naps? My daughter's naps have always been on the short side, but the past few days they are REALLY short like 20/30 min. She falls asleep but then just gets up in the middle, sometimes like something startled her. I leave her there for a while to see if she will go back, but she usually just plays sometimes cries. I know she is still tired b/c she gets cranky and rubs her's like she is fighting it. Not sure if it is teething related. She usually sleeps well at night (10-11 hrs) although recently at night she has been waking herself a few times- only difference is she will go back to sleep at night, Any tips or advice? Does this just resolve itself?

Like Linda said, every baby is different. Some require less naps, some more, some longer, some shorter. While most babies usually have 3 or more naps in a day, my boys were only napping once or twice by the time they were 9 months to a year. My older son was done with naps completely by the time he was 20 months.

Every baby is different and they go through different phases. One of my kids only took 30 minutes naps from infancy! He only started to sleep an hour when he was about 10 months old. However, if your daughter is used to taking longer naps and is tired, then I would say this is either (1) teething, or (2) she is waking up and finding things were not as they were when she went to sleep. Do you put her down when she is already completely asleep? My first son started waking up at about 6 months because I had been doing that. It is better to put them down mostly asleep.
