Hello everyone! hoping someone can put me at ease. I am 6months and a week pregnant. Last week I started experiencing shortness of breath. The shortness of breath happens when I eat or drink. I am a very petite person. I am 5'0 I don't have a long torso so im thinking that is what is going on. Having a baby inside of me and having big boobs and no torso I am thinking that is why I am having issues. I have no more room! Im not having any chest pains at all. I do feel tired tho. I just want to know if anyone else felt like this during there pregnancy . I did call the Dr office and spoke to a nurse who kept putting me on hold and asking another nurse my questions I didn't feel comfortable with what she was telling me. I finally decided to have the Dr call me back when she is free, bc the nurse was not clarifying anything for me. I don't know if I should go to the emergency room or not? i am worried but i also know shortness of breath is common during pregnancy i just don't know when i should be extremely worried? If that makes sense. help!

Shortness of breath can happen as your belly grows and you are quite petite so you may start noticing it sooner. There is a hormonal component to your shortness of breath and I posted a link below that describes it pretty well. Bring if up at your next visit and tell the doctor that you feel like his/her nurses did not answer your questions. You are not being a snitch, but you want pregnant mamas to get answers when they call.
