I'm really surprised that any nurse would tell you to give anything other than breast milk or formula to a 3 month old. Why are they suggesting this? Orange juice is too acidic. I've always heard that it's best to wait until a year to even introduce oranges (which are a million times better for you than drinking the juice) because of the acidic content.

I don't know what country you are in, but no baby needs orange juice, their tummies are not ready for it. Until they are 6 months, breast milk or formula only. But even after 6 months, fruit juice is not necessary, and because of the concentrate sugar in fruit juice, I wouldn't do it - fruit is better for them.

Juice for a 3 month old? Why would any nurse tell you to do that??? Not a good idea.

Dove, in some countries, they probably don't keep up to date with these things the same way our medical professionals do, and maybe their recommendations aren't as strict as ours. That's what I'm assuming.
