Should I keep my mom as a babysitter?

I have been paying my mom to babysit my 2 kids (a 4 year old and an 11 mo old). The one time I cannot pay her because of financial reasons, she wants to give me her reasons why she needs the money and not even acknowledge my financial state. Then, the night before I have to go to work she asks me what I am going to do with the kids that week because she is not babysitting any kids because my grandparents are in town. She knows she is the only option I have. My husband had to call out of work to stay home with the kids. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

That's entirely up to you if you keep using her or not. If she's charging the same as someone else you could look into switching but if you don't have the money to pay they're probably not going to continue watching your kids. Personally I'd rather pay my than a stranger so I would set up a repayment plan, and just ask that she give two weeks notice in the future if she's going to be unable to watch the kids. I would also start looking into alternatives for when she does want a day off.
