I am trying to get my 8 month old use to her sippy cup. right now she kinda plays with it. I put water in it. If I am drinking something she keeps grabbing my cup. She knows when I go to put my cup to her mouth to open her mouth and sip out of it.... What I am asking is ether a) How did you get your baby to get use to the sippy cup? OR b) did your baby use a sippy?

I have a 7 month old and I have been giving her a sippy with water in it and she plays with it. My son started at the same age and was off of bottles completely by 11 months. I found that just having one in the floor while the play is the best way. Then they can explore and try it out and you don't have to really push. At about 10 months I started giving the juice in it then started switching feedings from bottles to sippies. Hope this helps.

Our son starting using a sippy cup at 6 months. Of course at that age it was more for practice than anything. He just took to it real well and we never really had any issues. However sometimes he will not drink so I will get a glass of water and cheers with him and then he'll drink :) Maybe you could try that? She may be a little young to understand but maybe not. Have you tried offering different types of sippy cups? Our son really liked the ones with straws at that age. Maybe you need to explore some different options. Good luck!

I have found that a sippy with latex or silicone nipples can help get them started on sippies. They kind of use it like a bottle but have to adjust a little to get the fluids out. I have seen some people just cold turkey it and only offer sippies and no bottles but this is not for me. Hope this helps you
