My baby is almost 1 year old and he drinks his milk in a bottle in just one sitting and doesn't take it with him, do I still need to switch him to sippy cup? What's the point of switching to sippy cup?

I just liked the no-spill aspect of the sippy cup. Although you can teach them to drink out of a regular cup, they still may be prone to knock things over. Its also portable, like a waterbottle, so they can use it in the car or the stroller, etc. without making a big mess. It was a handy thing here more than anything else.

I would just switch him to a normal cup the point of the transition is teaching them how to drink from a cup, my daughter could use a normal cup by the age 1 and drank her milk like a big girl.
