skin dryness

My son is 16 & is biracial. He is constantly washing his hands. The top of his hands r turninga darker shade of brown. They r dry and ccracked a little. He says they hirt and burn when water touches them but still continues to wash. What is making his skin turn like that what can I put on it

They hurt because if he is constantly washing his hands, he is washing all of the natural oils from his skin, thus making them dry and cracked, hence why they hurt. It has nothing to do with his race.

If he is constantly washing his hands for little to know reason, you may want to investigate this - it could be signs of OCD or a phobia of some sort and he should be getting some treatment/therapy for this.
