Any tips to get my 2yr3mth old to sleep through the night? She either wakes up at 1:30am and needs to be settled or wakes up at 5-6am and thinks ts time to play. She goes to bed at about 7 or 8 at night and usually goes down well. I am getting so tired!!!

I have three children who have all been good at sleeping through the night but the key has been understanding that each is an individual and there needs of sleep are different.

I would try, not cutting out the day time sleep but cutting it back. Wake her after one hour so she is not in such a bad mood but not so much sleep she doesn't sleep through.

Is she toilet trained? Even if she is not maybe try her on the potty or toilet she might have trained herself!!! (one can hope, my eldest was dry at night before in the day).

Just a few ideas to try.

My ds is almost 2 (May) he rarely sleep through the night, he gets up once around 1:30 for a drink and falls right back to sleep and then won't wake up again until around 7. I have talked to my doctor about it and right now he's having ear problems which she thinks might be the reason he's getting up (he gets up a lot saying his ears hurt).

She has never slept in our bed with us, i didnt want to start that habit, she only has one day nap, and thats usually from 11 - 1ish. Never more then 2 hrs. And she has a really dark room wich is always at a nice temperature. Thats why i am baffled. I have also tried cutting out the day nap but then she gets so crabby and goes to bed at like 5pm and wakes up at 5am

Does her wake up time coincide with how many naps she has had through the day? Maybe cut down on the afternoon nap if its too close to her bed time.

i am still having the same problem with my 4 year old he goes down great at 7 but once it gets to around10.30 he wakes up and wants to come into our bed and we spend all night putting him back into his own bed and then he gets up at about 4.30 and thinks it is time to get up play and have breakfast. i did used to feed him in our bed when he was being breast fed and fall asleep with him in our bed because he did used to settle better and like to cuddle  with my 1 year old i never fed her in our bed i did it in her room and put her straight back into her bed and she is a great sleeper 6pm straight throughtt o about 6.30 am did you let bub sleep in with you i feel like i have not slept in 4 years stay strong you are not alone
